decisions... decisions...

+sorry for the long post+
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..................

i currently have a 2006 V6 Mustang w/ Pony Package.. so far i'm loving the car.. just one thing... i REALLY wanted to get a GT.. only thing holding me back was insurance....
pretty much... i was with a crappy company and ONLY with them because at the time I had my 88 Trans Am insured with them and got a discount since I had the T/A and a renters policy... i had since sold the T/A and no longer have the renters policy so my insurance went up on the V6... i never got a GT because they quoted me $150 MORE a month for the GT than the V6... well no way in hell i'm going to be paying over $300 a month for insurance for a car.. so i got the V6... (wish i had shopped around)

i had then got a speeding ticket... and my insurance has come up for renewal.. well they jacked up my monthly payment by $65 for this speeding ticket... so i FINALLY shopped around and am now with a company paying $130 cheaper a month PLUS my policy is $0 deductibles.. if i had $500 deductibles I am then saving $150 a month from the other insurance...

i decided today to check out insurance for a GT... just out of curiositity.. its $20 a month more from what i'm paying now on the v6... WHAT THE HELL!?

so question...

Should i Look around for a GT and trade in my v6 and get a GT since there isnt a big difference in price or just stick with the v6?
i was planning on upgrading the v6.... but i figured if I got the GT.. well that would take car of some.. ie. dual exhaust.. etc...

as much as i love the v6... i just feel like i'm missing out on something that i originally wanted but was held back because of some insurance company jacking up the price $220 more....
and so if i get the GT and under the new company.. its like i'm saving over $200 from what the other company would charge...

opinions?
Please feel free to give them!!

and i hope my post made sense

If you don't get to much nagative equity on the V6 on your trade in and the price difference for insurance is only 20$ a month, don't think twice and go for the GT bro if you can afford it. I drove both and they are two totally different cars( sound, torque...) Go for it!!

As much as I think the v6 is hella gay, I am not sure it is worth it to get rid of. Why not save a few bucks and turbo the v6 ?

You are just going to lose money on the v6 trade in and create more debt for yourself, but then again it's your cash.

I think keep the v6 is you are happy with it, slightly mod it a bit and be happy.

And its not really that you would be saving money because the fact is you would now be out of pocket on the trade in / upgrade and would be paying more for insurance

if you don't drive much , sure why not get a GT. You already said you got a ticket in your 6 though, can you trust yourself with the extra donkies? i know i can't, so i keep my 6 and still get 30-35mpg all summer long. Do i wish i had a gt, hell yes. Do i wish to pay the extra in gas and potential fines, no thanks, rather spend it on camera gear and mortgauge.

Having driven a V6 convertible and now a GT, I would say lookwise they are both mustangs (chicks will like either one) but in terms of drive, acceleration and feel GT takes it. My advice go all the way and get the GT.

***** err... rickp.. you're hella gay

jk

i was thinking that too.. just keeping the six and just modding it... that same money would be going towards the GT anyways... i will just keep my opinions open i guess and see what comes up..
if a good deal comes up.. then i can't refuse it

ok...
so i'm at work bored on my break.. so i just snoop around on the net...

i found a 2005 Mustang GT w/ 65 000km on it.... Waiting hear back what options this car has.... anyways... is it worth a straight up trade for my 2006 v6 w/ pony package.. 29 000km.. fully loaded.. undercoating, rust proofing, paint protection, tinted windows.. etc...

just would like some expert mustang opinions
especially members with 2005+ GT's.

Do you find them very reliable?
is it worth it to take a car with 30000KM more than mine on it?

yadda yadda yadda...
