Exclamation Eibach Lowering Spring Pricing Results - Battle Of Stores

So, this is what I have found when looking for pricing on:
Eibach 3514.140 - Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs

for my 90 vert project.

In order of final cost, cheapest to most costly.

eBay - $209.95 - link + $48.00 USD Shipping to Canada/ standard. = $257.95

Jegs - $231.99 - link + $44.20 ground = $276.19

Summit Racing $229.95 - link + $55.79 standard = $285.74

American Muscle $249.99 - link + $72.01 shipping / standard = $322

Mustangshop.ca $251.75 - link + **you cant get shipping rates till you enter your credit card for payment.

Kijiji = n/a
CL = n/a
CMOC and local sites = m/a

Because this is a budget build on the cheap and this will be the first 'new' part for the car, I will likely go with eBay. SR is generally where I buy from.

**Note, Amazon showed $195 w. 1 set left. But i dont have an account. (link)

Well, I pulled the trigger today.

Here is another interesting fact. The seller on eBay has a regular store outside of eBay. His shipping was about $30 more there than via eBay. Go figure that one out.

Just hope the shipping is USPS otherwise there will be some more taxes and brokerage collected by the courier when it arrives.

Of course, UPS. USPS would be too easy. LOL

$89 total fee. $346 was the total cost. Seeing that the top 4 cheapest stores were American based, I am sure all would have used UPS for the signing and tracking.

Would have been nice to find used local, but just wasnt happening.

American Muscle's price is all you pay. Nothing more so the price would of been $322 final. People don;t realize this when they order from Summit or Jegs or anywhere else. They see it cheaper and order it until it shows up and the UPS guy rapes you. I have not found many places that compete with AM.

Even if it comes USPS and it's declared any type of auto part, there will be more taxes when it arrives. Also, Springs are freakin' HEAVY and the tax is LARGE. Ask me how I know?

I have the most expensive springs in the GTA. I should have bought them from a shop when they did a large order. Large and/or heavy items, Exhaust, Springs should be purchased from a local shop.

Weight has no bearing on tax. Just depends on how you have the item shipped. I just bought a 250 pound rear axle from the US and even after all cost it was much less than buying it locally.

Tax is based on dollar amount only.
