Help....spring Question??

I received some sweet steeda springs in the mail today and was woundering if i should put the rubber things that are inside the stock springs into the new ones?

What do those rubber things do (the tubes inside the stock springs)? The fit snug in the stock springs but were loose inside the Eibach Pro-Kit I put on so I left them out.

I did replace the rubber isolators at the top and bottom of the springs with polys.

I think its for noise, i hit my new springs with a screwdriver and then the old ones with the "tubes" and the new ones resonated noise and the old ones didnt make any
