How to do a burn-out.

Hello

Since I now have a vehicle that has a rep of doing burn-outs and smoking the tires, I would now like to know how to do one.

When the road is slippery, I can do it no problem. But I want to know how to do one on dry pavement, without the car moving.

I do know that my tires will be eaten away, I just don't want any other problems or anything else to break; especially since my mustang seems so new. (I guess my other option is not to do them in the first place so nothing goes wrong).

Any suggestions to give a newbie an insight to the world of burning rubber and smoking tires?

auto= Hold brake and mash throttle
5 speed....dump cltuch + throttle + hit brake = burnout

for a 5 spd, put her in second gear (especially if you have gone to a numerically larger gear), bring her up to about 3500, dump the clutch and mash the brakes....this is for a burn out at the track....no point doing them anywhere else as you're wasting tires, brakes, putting undue stress on your tq boxes (actually seen them torn out while someone was doing a burn out) etc. etc.

Buy a roll control ( line-lock). Your brakes will thank you.

agree with 1QK50.. its the easiest way to do a burn out on your car

gotta love the auto trannys.....stomp the brakes and hammer the throttle....lmao! I've stopped though....I killed a rear set of tires in a summer. It was just fun when I first got an actual power car!

If you really want smoke you need to get the tires really spinning. 1st gear wont give you enough wheelspeed and you'll keep hitting the limiter.
