I'm claiming BS on this one!!!
Theres no way.....
This company claims they made 570 rwhp and 707 rwtq on a BONE STOCK 94-95 5.0L with adding there Turbo setup. I'm SOOO calling bullshit on this one!!! Check it out.... 94-95 Mustang Turbo Kit |
It is not uncommon to make 400rwhp and 600ftlbs with a stock 5.0 and a turbo..........umm motor does not look stock, however built with OEM parts...MINT!!!....This is a very similar setup to what I want to build with my car. B or E303 cam, Exlporer intake and heads....budget HP, you gotta love it.......

depending on what youve got done to your set up and turbo choice, you would probably gain way more hp as it takes hp to create hp on a blower set up. turbo its free power. doubt it all you want but its the taillights of the turbo cars you will be seein. lol |
Its not that unlikely given the nature of Turbo cars. Plus I don't see where they claim the car was stock otherwise. The peak numbers on a turbo car however are usually higher in the Revs, so take that as you will.
The only thing about that site is that they don't give the model number and all that good stuff related to the turbo. I've also read of many people having fitment issues with the HP stuff. I heard Hellion was supposed to be doing a 94/95 Single kit. |

Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't you buy your car with the kit on it? (Maybe I'm thinking of someone else) If so theres no telling how much work may have gone into getting it to where it is today.
In either case, theres no deny the effectiveness of a big turbo or two on a V8 such as this. |
Watch and listen to this thing, hardly any cam(which is very nice with turbo motors). Also notice the plates on the back, this a real street car...

I pick turbo over super chargers, just my preference.

I put down 660 RWHP on a stock block. Internals weren't however.
I dropped my turbo a few months after and went back to a blower. |
In my other circle of enthusiasts, guys are pushing between 450-500 chp (assume 400-420 to the wheels) and tq out of 2.7 V6 Twin Turbo. Now, to get that, you have to upgrade all the supporting cast, but main engine components (i.e. cams, pistons) remain unchanged.
So, out of a 5.0L V8, I could see those crazy numbers, but what they're not telling you is how long you will drive that before you blow it to smithereens. |
