agreed, I think the only problem you had before was the IRS...

things should change now. Do you have any "other" weight out of the car?

P.Meister 07-27-2005 10:23 PM

Rear Seats Out: 50-70lbs
IRS Out: 100lbs (rough estimate)
Stock Hood Off: 10lb or more

I guess that is it, so I have taken out 150-200lbs probally....

In race trim, I will have mugh lighter wheels and tires (which is rotatinal mass, so it counts for more).....my street wheel/tire setup in total is about 50lbs lighter than stock

I want to take the AC out as well. I want my car down to around 3350-3400lbs. Next year I will do K-Member, A-Arms, etc

P.Meister 07-27-2005 11:13 PM

If you want to get really technical:

Removed front swaybar (which includes endlinks and some bolts, HA HAHA. Swaybar is probally around 10lbs too

5PointOHNO 07-28-2005 06:02 PM

yeah dropping the front swaybar is essential... I wouldn't take out the A/C though, that keeps the car more streetable. Not to mention with this weather, it's needed.

The K-member will save you HUGE amounts of weight.

The Stock Auto with some tuning KICKS BUTT

I will be putting a 4R70W in my car next year I think :chacha:

We have a 00GT with a Novi 2000, Water Meth and Drag Suspension running 11.7's with the stock auto by putting the car in D and mashing the gas....shifts like a top
