Personally I'd go with a Mach. I love their look, and the way they make power. not a big fan of superchargers.

Those numbers mean nothing to me, I'll be on it all the time and sucking up 91 octane like nobody's business. I got about 500k/tank avg. in my '98 Cobra, basically the same as a Mach 1 would be I think, my buddy just sold his '04 Cobra, he said he got 300k/tank avg. and much, much worse with his foot in it. Really, the Mach has always been a favourite of mine, love the interior, engine and shaker hood.

ok, well if none of those numbers mean any thing to you why the DID YOU say...
AND I QOUTE
Fuel economy would make a difference, especially since I'd be on it all day.
it was a ball park figure...yes mine also says it gets 18MPG but im lucky if i see 12mpg...

ONCE AGAIN YOU DO NOT BY A MUSTANG FOR FUEL ECONOMY :

buy what ever one you like. dont buy it because all of us like it..

if you're leaning towards the Mach, but would take a Cobra...I'd say shop around with both in mind, and pic the sweetest one your find - with asking prices influencing your choice

I'd take a babied Mach over a hard driven Cobra.....and it would probably be cheaper to boot

well, look at it this way.

you asked, what you should do...
and you said keep in mind that it was going to be a daily driver....

usually when someone says that. the are refering to three things #1gas #2milage and #3ride quality. (in my opinion taht is what the are asking about)

so i said cobra...why, ***KEEP IN MIND THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION***
#1 the ride is going to be better because of the IRS and other little things that SVT might have done.
#2 the quality i would hope that the quality in a SVT would be better that a mach 1 (but hey it is ford) so you never know.
#3 fuel milage who gives a about that.(when buying a mustang ESP a cobra or mach) excpet you that siad that fuel milage would make a difference...
so i went and looked up the EPA MPG...you know just to help a brother out.(thinking you should have allready known them) Just for a BALLPARK figures.
it puts both the numbers right infront of your face.

if you get on either one hard and burn around your fuel economy will go down teh toilet.

all im saying is if you are THAT worried about fuel aconomy go buy a honda.

understand why you perturbed me?

Well, I guess I'll keep my questions to myself if I'm bothering you then. Take a look at the other responses-that's what I was looking for and that's what I THOUGHT this site was about, I stand corrected.
