Go to WALMART, or Canadian Tire and buy a cheater plug!
Wire the cheater plug to the aftermarket deck plug, and then it becomes a plug and play application very simple, and everything works proper when finished!
Do not cut any of your factory plugs or wires.

^^^thats what I did, I bought the regular Ford harness, and then there is another one for the amps. Hooked them both up and worked like a charm! And cost me half of the metra harness. Just make sure you put a 1k ohm resistor in the remote wire, or you'l get a nasty popping sound every time you turn the radio on. Something about the aftermarket sends 12V to the amp where the OEM HU only send 6V
