Do the molecules break down in the jug on the shelf as well? ^^^^^^

mine gets change every spring when it comes from garage, gets another in summer if i hit 3000km - that only happened once

Sealed oil in a container should last for years because it is not exposed to air, contaminants and high temperatures. Even though you don't drive your car very much, the oil is still going to degrade, slower than other cars that are driven more, but why would you not at least change the oil (IN A GORGEOUS SHELBY GT500!) before it goes away for the winter and again in the spring?

Every two thousand miles or 3000 kilometers. Quaker State 5w-30w High RPM & filter. Fuel filter change every spring as soon as I get the mustang out of the barn.
