Tell your wife that spending the money on a lift system is a better choice for safety and her piece of mind.

I wish I had the room in my garage for a lift.

Hs anyone used House of Kolor? I am planning going back to the original color of candy apple red on the car. HOK has a candy apple. But do I need a base color? If so what color? I have heard of using silver or metalic silver. Can I use another red?

Ford candy apple red was a solid red color so there should be no need for a silver or gold base color. Now with that said "True " Candy colors generally require a bright base color (silver, gold) and sprayed with a transparent red.The more coats of paint the darker it gets, and very tricky to spray.
Have you looked at the HOK paint book to see if they offer the factory color or a close shade to it?

Thanks for the link, that looks like it would def work for me. I'm still thinking about the lift though, as I do have the room already in my garage, and I could fit one more vehicle in too.(I'm thinking a nice lil Fox body would fit nicely under the 2012)

**had to look over my shoulder while typing that....don't want the wife to catch on to why I want a lift.

They have a shade that is close. Did some research and found a Candy Base Coat. Looks like candy but is a base coat and is easy to spray. The sample that I saw said it was applied over a black base.

Comes ready to spray with no reducing. I am thinking on doing the apple red with the 2 stripes front to back in black.

I'm planning to get a set myself. I saw them at SEMA and they looked really good. The lifts are cool too but there is some required maintenance and you have to make sure that you have the ceiling height for it.
