SCT for 99-04?

anyone here have the superchips tuner for their 99-04 gt? was wondering what changes it makes, and what changes you saw after doing it? is it worth the money? what can i expect 0-60, 0-100? what are the pro's and what are the cons to this, besides the obvious, like price. i have a bbk cold air intake, and i have been re geared to 3.73's. nothing else done to it, yet.

thanx

You might want to try www.Steeda.ca they're a sponsor here as well as an SCT dealer/tuner located in Milton. (A whole lot closer than Quebec)

ok, so no one on here has one of these then? i don't really wanna ask a guy who's gonna sell me one, what it's like, and advantages and disadantages. i wanna know the common mustang owners response to this product, not a salesman's.

thanx anyways.

I would say, that unless you have an auto, it wouldnt be worth it. It would firm your shifts up, and you could use it to calibrate your speedo if you havent done so with the gear change.

If you are going to spend the money, I would go with a mid pipe and/or TB Plenum Combo.

Just my .02

hmmm, ok. so, it does nothing for the performance of the engine? hmm, i thought it would change the factory air fuel, ect.

is an ecm flash something different, or is that what this does?

what is a mid pipe?

what size throttle body should i go with, 75mm?

I had a tuner on my 2001 GT , it made a big difference i don't know about track times but when i 'detuned it, it felt like i was driving a v6 or something.
I don't know all the 'techno talk but yes it made a difference

Definatly you will have HP gain , just with addition of a CAI , exhaust and pulley the tuner can give you enough horsepower that you will feel behind the wheel .

Play with timing curve , Air fuel ratio , intake and exhaust and you can gain a couple of thenth on a quarter milles .

I don t own this kind of tuner but i can give you a lot of email of mustangers who own a SCT .
