Don't forget a 'chip and a tuner are two diffent things, a 'chip piggybacks on the cars computer and is set however you wanted it and it stays that way.
A tuner on the other hand plugs into the diagnostic port and gives you a choice of how you want the car tuned, if you have an electronic speed sensor and change your gears it adjusts the speedo for you according to tire size , etc. The advantage of a tuner is you can reset it to stock if the car has to go into the dealer for some reason unless the dealer sold it to you. The chip is also cheaper compared to a tuner but if you are unfamiliar with chips and tuners , have a pro install it for you
Hope this helps

You can see gains of 5-10 hp with a chip or tuner on a stock engine. Not much more, as I spoke with Matt at The Mustang Shop earlier this year regarding the issue.

A midpipe would be either X, H, or Prochamber. I have an offroad (no cats) X pipe on mine with a magnaflow catback and love the sound.

We are the largest SCT dealer in Canada and i will be happy to help you.

A chip and flasher deliver exactly the same custom tune we provide, through a different method. For an extra 70 bucks, it is worth it to get the flasher. Call me, i am completly honest and will not sell you what you do not need

Remember, tuners do not send out the same files. Every tune we send out is written on the street/dyno and tested. Dont be fooled by peopel who claim you are getting a custom tune when it is off the shelf

ok, well, i was looking on your website anyways. can i get it with a tune directly from you, based on a stock 2000 gt? then, what would i be looking at for dyno time once i get my turbo setup figured out. i will be going single turbo, fmic, injectors, bov, blah blah blah, i have not sorted out any details as to how much boost i want to put to the stock internals, i am from a nissan background, running an sr20 det motor, running 15 psi on stock internals on the street, and 17psi on the track.

With a stock GT, just buy the flasher and skip the dyno time. I have written all the files on the dyno. Expect to pickup about 10whp, 10wtq, throttle response and better drivability. The flasher is $460 and can be found at www.steeda.ca

Once you get the turbo kit, you will just need to pay for tuning, which starts at $350 for the first 1.5hrs.

Please consult us when purchasing parts for the turbo kit such as injectors, boost controller, mass air, as we are very picky.

You will want to run 6-8psi on a stock motor, which will make around 400rwhp

Just my .02

so data logging is useless?10-15hp is no good either?adjustable timing and a/f ratios,i could go on about this but you get the point.

Diablo tuner is a good product. As good as the SCT2. I just think that the SCT is a more flexible tuner.

There s the SCT strategy Flash out there. It come with canned tunes for a variety of car models. For an almost no mods car or very lightly mod car, it should do the job plenty.

Then there s the other one that you have to tunes via a dealer and is locked to your VIN and computer code. You can have it with on device adjustability or use the extreme software program but not both.

With both options you can do adjustment but they are more limited with the on device option.

I choose the extreme software option cause i m auto and wanted to play with my full, mid and light throttle shift points, in both upshift and downshift situation. Soon i ll probably have to play with my converter lock schedule also. Only disadvantage, you have to make the corrections on a laptop, download it on the tuner and on the car each time you do some changes.

You can have a look on the SCT web site and furums for demos vids.

Hope i helped

The SCT and Diablo tuners are both great. It is the tunes that you really want. Our tunes are much better than canned tunes as well as our competitors
