SN95 Mustang Hood's. Any Advice? Lets see yours!

,even though you went Harwood on some of (not saying they are bad either LOL)...
Kidding aside,it should look sweet.
Just make sure the body shop doing the prep work trims the extra at the front edge of the hood,no one seems to do this from the ones i see around here.The hot rod show i watched were they used the Harwwod hood even mention that it needs to be trimmed.Even the side edges needed some good sanding they said to get the factory like gaps,and that sweet fit,and finish.
See the pics below that i put arrows too to show you,the edge of the hood is basically resting right on the horns of the facia,and headlights..In person,these areas are really noticable when your use to seeing the stock gaps.

Thanks 1LOW03GT! - I never noticed that before but now that you point it out your right - a HUGE difference. I'm gonna print out these pictures so I can show the body shop EXACTLY what you mean.

You happen to know a good body shop / paint shop? (Maybe I should start a new thread for this) 
I would take take it to the Legendary Motor Car company in Milton - their artists but they cost a FORTUNE. I've heard Gibson Vander is good too but not too much cheaper. My buddy has his Road Runner painted at Phoenix Custom and it turned out pretty nice. Their "over the phone" customer service was ... lacking at best. Anyone know of a good honest well priced shop? Does one even exist?

The best thing to do is talk around with local hot rod guys.They would no someone that can do the job right,and give you a deal at cost.
If you were here in London,i culd send you to the place i go to to get my stuff done for my GT.
You really don't need the most expensive place to do the job,you need someone that understand the hobby,loves his work in autobody,and wants you back,and for you to give word on his work.

So, the car is at the shop getting some light body work done as well as the installation of the Harwood hood I recently picked up.
Just so you guys know what to expect when getting a Harwood Formula hood:
- The hood needs to be trimmed in the front (see 1LOW03GT's pictures)
- The hoods rolled edges need to be trimmed so that the hood will close properly
- The hoods latch needs fabrication to work with your factory latch system
- The hood hinge area needs slight modification to work with your factory hinges
- The hood hinge area needs to be trimmed to clear the factory hinges and wiper blades
- The hood prop rod hole needs to be moved to work with your factory prop rod.
All in all the shop did a beautiful job but it did take about five hours labour - so depending on how much your body shop charges will depend on how much you will have to pay to get the hood looking perfect. I chose to heed 1LOW03GT's advice and trim the front of the hood - it's not necessary but does make it look 1000 times nicer.
I would get this hood again (cause I love the look) but its DEFINETLY not a perfect fit bolt on like 1LOW03GT's Steeda hood or a Cervini's hood.

As for the little things that need attention,i guess it depends on how bad someone wants the part they want,if they want it bad enough it doesn't matter what the price is,....to a certain extent.LOL!

So here it is ... the hood is on. My daughter liked the hood so much (and there was nothing wrong with mine) so I decided to let her have it. So far the hood is installed, Saleen ground effects kit is on (still a bit of tape on there), Saleen SR spoiler, and the rear bumper is installed. The front bumper is just hanging on the car still - it's next to be installed. Her car is currently pained BASF Extreme Rainbow but the paint job is not too great so once all the body work is done were gonne get a new coat of paint for her. She's not sure what color she wants yet - I'm voting for satin black. She's leaning towards a deep pink colour - like the picture of Molly Saleen's car I attached. We'll see what happens. (oh yea, she knows the cars for her now - wife slipped). Guess I should start a new threat for this.
