solid vs convertible question
to convertible or not convertible,isn't this always the question? just trying to get the feel of other owners what is they experience with convertible here,in Canada,so i can decide what to buy,my mustang will definitely be the summer car only,so it will live on my driveway in the winter,i don't have a garage,so this is one consideration,how strong is the fabric roof to hold the snow?second is the security,does it happen often that the roofs get slashed with knife in the summer? are convertibles really that much louder?thanks for sharing your experience.

Meh, convertible, better stock up on ball caps and Coppertone SPF50, depends how much you like baking in the sun, I'm not interested, so I'll take the hardtop with A/C over the 'vert, but I'm old. lol
Not to say the 'vert doesn't have its advantages, loud is good when you have the V8 purring under the hood, music to the ears.
If someone wants to f*#k with your ride, makes no diff if its a 'vert or hardtop, they'll do it.
Don't listen to what anyone else has to say, do what makes you happy, 'vert's are nice at least once.

Convertibles are nice for summer evening cruises, but sitting in traffic, under a blazing hot sun, in a black leather interior....not so much.
Plus you look like a dork if the windows are up when the top is down. + $.02

I am a convertible freak. I have owned 16. Current vehicle is a 2016 GT. I do not find it noisy. On really hot days I leave the top up and the air on. My interior is red. Black interiors are murder in the sun! Literally too hot to sit on sometimes when returning to the car if it has been parked with the top down. I brush snow off roof in winter. Former cloth tops on other vehicles have held up well. To avoid vandals I never leave anything in sight in the car. Put stuff into the trunk. Never had a roof slashed. I say go for it. My favourite time to cruise is after dinner when the sun is just starting to go down. Still nice and warm and no big sun attack.

Hi guys. If you are going to leave a nice ride outside exposed to the sun consider a popup garage (kinda like a tent). Oil the undercarriage and start it weekly. Rust never sleeps. Princess Auto has them for a couple hundred $$.
