stock 2 stock 4.6L Vs 5.0??

5.0 or 4.6 stock to stock which one is faster.. the 4.6L being the SN95 style..

im guesing the 4.6 would be the better competitior in this just because its a newer motor and improved

But then again i have no clue?????

Driver's race. Probably a slight edge to the 5.0 though.

EDIT - Comparing 95 5.0 to 96 4.6

id give it to the 4.6 "PI"

ive had both cars i think the 4.6 PI would get the job done but niether are any screamin hell stock. the real magic is in the cheap bolt ons in that id give it to the 5.0

a Non PI 4.6 SN95 would get almost surely get raped by a 5.0 5SPD Hardtop LX or GT.

If you have the 4.6L P.I ('99+,being the better 2V) stock against the 5.0L ('87 to maybe '93,being the better 5.0L of that era) stock, the 4.6L is got the win (providing the driver can drive),but start modding,it will be either a drivers race,or the 5.0L 's race.Add a blower, who knows???!!!

I just like the 4.6 because its not a 350 chevy (point being anyone can build one and everyone has one)

If we are limited to the SN95 style I'd have to give the edge to the 94/95 5.0s over the 96-98 4.6s...

^I agree, it's really gonna depend mostly on driver for that one though, as far as I've seen they both run high 15s-low 16s either way.
