09 Cobra for sure!

With the 2011 mustang with the 5.0L rumor, I wonder how much power they can with stand?? Cause if its anything like the older ones breaking at 550 or so....lol

As for upgrading a 09 block they can with stand a whole lots of room, plus it is a Cobra!

You buy a Camaro, it might better be a Garage queen cause the way GM is going there gonna be out of the game LOL, never seen Ford discontinue the Mustang!

As cool as the Challenger looks....I just can't help but feel that Chrysler builds complete and total crap.

Resurrection of the 5.0 GT would be sweet.

I'll save DublDee's forhead and avoid the Camaro. I've done some digging and apparently the interior isn't all that great. Plus I just down and out love the Stang.

I'll wait a couple of days for SnakeBite to get his posts up regarding the Cobra handling.

You might have to wait more than a couple of days. Snow here tomorrowMine has been lowered 1 1/4 inches so it's not completely stock anymore.

I threatened them, kidding. At Metro Ford (SVT dealer) they had 6-7 GT500's and 10 KR'S (KR's came in 2 weeks after my purchase). I guess they wanted to blow them out. The only reason I bought one is because of the low price. I literally fell over the bumper when I saw the price on the window.:laughhard

I might have to drive down there and have a look..maybe I'll call first. I checked their online inventory and all their GT500's are $57k-$62k.

The SVT dealer up here hasn't any left on the lot. Three KRs and and #97/100 Roush 429R though, but they're a little out of my price range...well they're alot out of my price range.

When you lowered your Cobra, was that something you could manage on your own or did you have to pay a tech to do it for you? Don't think I'd risk it in Edmonton, our roads are horrid.

With Challenger and Camaro having hit the market I was really hoping Ford would step up to the plate and increase base horsepower on the 2010 GT to compete. To my knowledge, it doesn't look like they've done so. When I pull up to a light I don't want some guy in a Maxima even thinking about it.

So here are my options, I'm wondering if you all would mind tossing in your opinions.

1 - Grab an '09 GT500

2 - Grab an '09 Roush Stage 3

3 - Grab a '10 Roush Stage 3

4 - Grab a '10 Camaro SS2

I love my Stang, but the price point for power on the Camaro is difficult to ignore. I think I could get into a Roush for close to the same price and from what I can gather from my Googles, the Roush handles better than the GT500.

What are your thoughts?
Of the 4 you listed my personal preference would be the Shelby.
The Roush would be a close second.
The Camaro SS is a formidable package no doubt and as a bonus I hear the Government of Canada is taking over the GM warranties once bankruptcy is declared.....I think I'd pass on that whole cluster .

You do have another option.
Keep the CS and put a FRPP 500hp whipple kit on it.
As long as the residual isn't too bad at lease end it could be an opportunity for bigger power without the new car price.
