Hello from Alberta I purchased a 05 GT new.Love the car, never had a problem with it,mechanically. Now that warranty has expired on body corrosion I'm having issues with the under side of hood.WHAT A MESS,ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM????If so are you having any luck with extended warranty or policy?

I think that there was some type of TSB for that. It is not rust as these hoods are aluminum. I think it had something to do with improper prep before painting.

Here is the link to the TSB: http://corporateportal.ppg.com/NR/rd..._tsb062515.pdf

Thanks for that info! If Ford knew this problem existed and admit the problem they should be looking after the repair under warranty... ya think??

Welcome aboard!!
Seems like there is always that one thing that will happen after the warranty expires for some reason!
Good luck with on getting it fixed.
Do you have any picks.I have never seen this issue before.I have a few friends with the current stang, and none have spoken about this issue.

I have not actually seen it myself as well but I have read post where a couple of owners had the issue!

post some pics if you don't mind so we can see first hand.

cheers

I've got that on my '06 hood, dealer gave me the run around and pretty much said "too bad". Ford's corrosion warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. They've had these problems since 2000.
