Advice sought on 2011convertible

Wish I had the dough to be plagued with such a dillemma. Anyways welcome to the forum and Good luck & have fun with the new car! You won't be disappointed with the v6, the way gas $$ have risen this year.. might not be a bad choice afterall. 300+horses is nothing to sneer at.

I have a 2011 V6 auto convertible. I also have a motorcycle (2005 GoldWing 1800 which holds 4 soft bags with one on a trunk rack).
I am very happy with the car and luggage capacity has not been a problem. Soft luggage helps here. Unless you are from the old school I would get the automatic as it seems to have a better economy rating than the manual. It is a great car for a long trip.
I drive it all winter. (In Arizona)
Here we are on our way south at the end of October.
F-150 4x4, Goldwing, car hauler trailer and Mustang.
whitev6 I see you are over 60. Well I am 71 and hoping to get a new motorcycle soon as mine has nearly 100,000 kms on it.
You should be able to enjoy your ride for many more years.

Thanks for all the advice, pictures and anecdotes. I was talking to my neighbour and his father just might be selling his 1999 35th Anniversary V8 convertible. Low mileage and no winter driving. I told him I just may be interested...

As an introduction...I have never owned a sports car but now is the time (62 and retired). The Mustang has always been a favourite ever since I saw my first in the early 60s, in France of all places!
I am looking at the 2011 convertible that, at least in my current state of mind and living in Ottawa, would be a clement weather drive only (winter storage). I have 2006 AWD Honda Element that I truly love for all sorts of practical reasons and would hate to part with.
From what I have read, the V6 manual seems ideal for me. Plenty of fun factor and easier on fuel.
I would like to know how the car behaves on a long journey as I am thinking of a trip out East.
All comments and suggestions are welcomed. Cheers
