Back again........

Hello everyone. Just got back into the Mustang hobby and I have to say I have been away way too long. I have had 2 previous mustangs before my current stang. My first was a 86 GT mostly stock with just the normal bolt ons. My second was a 93 LX hatch. This one heavily modded with a 347, T-Trim Vortech, TFS Street Heat Intake and Edelbrock Vic Jr heads. It ran a 10.98 @ 126 on pump gas. I loved the car, tragically it was stolen from me 3 years ago and life got in the way of getting another.

My new ride is a 1988 Saleen Mustang #675 which I have rescued from a barn. Other then the 5 years of filth it had on it, it has turned out to be a very nice start to a project. There is only 49 000 original miles on the car and is exactly the way it came from Saleen. Not totally sure which way I am going to go with the car yet but I am sure it will be an amazing journey none the less.

From what I have seen of the site it looks fantastic and I look forward to trying to contribute and possibly meeting some of the fellow enthusists on the board.

Welcome to the site man - love those rescue from the barn stories!! Good to see you breathe life into a modern classic just sitting there, sounds pretty good with only 49,000 miles on it. Bet you've got some great pictures - should post them up!

Thanks fellas! I actually only have a few pics the day I took it out of the barn that I took with my iphone. lol I was too excited and forgot my camera. I will post some pics up as soon as I clean all the grime off of it. Don't want to put pics up that dont do it justice lol! Just wondering if anyone has any nights that people meet up just for a drive or anything?

Welcome to a great site and the Mustang hobby. I am assuming you will keep a authentic Saleen mostly stock but let us know.

Actually, the pictures from the day you took it out of the barn were the ones I was thinking of, as well as some when it's all cleaned up - before and after so to speak.

Not sure how stock I am going to keep it. My last Stang was dyno'd @ 515 @ the wheels so this one needs a little more get up and go then it has right now. The last thing I want is for one of these new V6 Cameros to show me up. The old foxes are a blast to drive but with the new cars hitting the streets with 300 plus horse stock I think I will be throwing a Hellion turbo kit or a Novi on sometime in the future. I will never sell this car so the value of it being all original is sort of a mute point for me. But I would love to hear what other members on the site may think on this.

I say an intercooled Vortech supercharger ... keep true to the Saleen roots.
