Hello fellas and gals
I've been lurking here for awhile (mostly looking for a disk brake rear and some cobra fronts) but saw a couple threads in the den tonight I just had to reply to, so for my third thread I guess I might as well introduce myself.
When as a young lad of 14 or so I first started noticing that some cars were different from others, and perhaps much more desirable, I must admit I was attracted to the first gen Camaros. Horrible I know, but what can you say, youth..... I still have some friends who still suffer from this affliction.
When I was 15 or so my folks bought a new 86 2.3l 4 speed and year or two later it was mine and I was hooked, all thoughts of chevys, mopars and imports long gone. I beat that thing from one end of the province to the other for 280,000km's or so and it only let me down once with a broken shifter.
Twenty years later after a long run of rangers, F150s mustangs and one taurus I find myself driving(and loving I must admit) a TDI Volkwagen most of the time. But when the summer months roll around you'll likely find me either driving or fixing my black on grey '84 GT from salt free Arizona. I've done the engine, and suspension, but there is much work to be done yet. The wiring harness and interior in particular are in much need. A five lug conversion wouldn't hurt either.
Great site guys, I enjoy it.
