Just Bought 2002 Convertible

I just purchased my first Mustang. It is a 2002 V6 auto convertible with low kms. Quite frankly, I am not impressed. It has a sloppy feel and is pretty gutless. It has not seen any driving in over a year and not much for the few years before that. I'll probably try and tighten up the suspension first and work on performance upgrades as things fail.

Congrats and welcome, post some pics !! So, if its sloppy and gutless, I'm not sure why you bought it, didn't you test drive before buying?

2002 and a V6. Pretty much sums up your evaluation. But Welcome and any Mustang is a good Mustang. Make it your own!

Nope. Price was right though. Found the front calipers were seized on both sides. This may have had a big impact on why it was so gutless. Fixed now and will test drive it again tomorrow.

Now that the front calipers have been changed, it has much better acceleration. Surprising that the wheel would even turn they we so seized. Still not a speed demon though. But I am sure it will be a nice cruiser in the summer time. Now to tighten up that suspension and lower it about 3 fingers or about 2 inches. Any suggestions? I also have a set of 40mm offset mags to put on it with nice rubber but I will need some spacers to match the Mustang offset. .
