looking for some tire tips

Hey guys I'm new to the site, i have an 89 gt with some mods, I have 17 inch cobra r's on it now and i just bought a set of pro stars off a friend they are 15 x 8 and have 4.5 backspacing, I need to figure out a size drag radial that will fit with no problems with stag shocks and fender lips, also I'm going to order the front pro stars 15 x 4 and am also looking for a good size to run on those, thanks

Street tire, or drag tire, or slick?
And welcome aboard.

A very common size for the rear is 275/60/15 but you may want to get the fender lips rolled. I'm not sure for the front though.

4.5" backspacing is going to limit how much tire you can get under there, 5 or 5.5" is more commonly used on the Foxes. I'm thinking that 235/60R15 is going to be about it. On the front, BFG has a 155/80R15 in the Radial T/A line, that would be OK on the 4". If you want something a bit wider, look for a 185/65R15 or 195/65R15, they could be squeezed on to a 4" wheel.

cheers
