There are approximately 38 paid members in the association and the average attendance this year at each monthly meeting as been 4 members. It has gotten to the point that at our last meeting held on 21 November the motion was made to close down the association. It is simply not worth holding meetings if only 4 members are going to attend.

To give you an example a cruise was planned for August 13th and we where to meet at the cruise directors house in Kelowna. Only three vehicles showed up consisting of a Ford Mustang GT, a Mercury Cougar and of all things a Honda Pilot. A Cougar in the group I can understand but how does a Honda Pilot relate to the Mustang group?

Currently I have given the members of the Okanagan Mustang Association until the 23rd January, 2016 to figure out whether or not they want to continue or close the association. If the association closes the Kelowna Thunderbird Club is willing to accept any Mustang keeners and even go as far as helping to put on a Mustang Show and Shine.

If your interested in meeting up and cruising in 2016 let me know.
Wow that's sad to hear, I didn't know the club was in that kind of a state. I can sort of see where classic mustang owners are coming from, their cars are worth a lot and they dont want rock chips, rain and yada yada. But it's too bad theat even the foxbodys, sn95s, new edges and s197s aren't wanting to participate in a cruise. Yes I am interested in a cruise in 2016! And I really hope the club doesn't shut it's doors, I was really hoping to find a Mustang group to be a part of.
