Hi all. I recently purchased a 67 coupe with a 289-2V. It runs and drives but needs a full restoration which I plan on completing with my son. He’s just over 2 years old and currently provides comic relief in the garage and likes to wander away with tools every so often. I’m having trouble confirming the details included on the door data plate. I assume it reads: 65A, 7, 2D, 05U, 36, 0, W. The vin on the plate matches the vin on the driver side apron so that looks ok. But the color code (7) makes no sense. I’m currently waiting for a marti report to confirm the actual code. I look forward to airing my grievances throughout the restoration haha

Got the marti report back. The color code is actually M (Wimbledon White) and it had red stripes. It needs a lot of love and I won’t get it painted for a long time but I think I might have to get the original color back on this car!

Looks like a pretty solid base to start with. White with red stripes would definitely look good.
