Thinking of a 11' v6. thoughts?

Hey everyone!

I've never owned a mustang before. Came close a few times owned several other cars in the past and now am looking at the V6 11' stang.

My question is how do you think this car would be in winter with good snows and a weighted trunk in my situation? I can't really afford a beater.

BTW I live in Newmarket, Ont. We get quite a bit of snow and i have to travel to Brampton three times a week for work which means taking hwy400 and hwy 407. But if the weathers really bad I have the option from working at home during heavy snowstorms. But we all know i could be stuck at work and it snows cause sometimes u just can't predict it!

Thanks for you help!

I say do it!!! I don't personally drive my Mustang in the winter but I see plenty of guys who do - I even know a few! Get a good set of winter tires and some rust proofing and you'll be fine. I know a guy that commutes with his Mustang from Barrie to Mississauga daily - all year. He's only missed a couple days of work because of the weather - the same one's we've all missed!

Welcome aboard!!The '11 V6 looks very promising!!!
AS for the winter, nothing a few bags of dirt, and 4 winter tires can't handle.

Welcome to the site dude. Pretty much what everyone else said - weigh down the *** end and get four snows and you should be OK. If you can afford it, get a set of plain old steel rims for your winter skins and save some trouble (and money) mounting and balancing tires every six months. Go for the '11 V6 dude - lots of them around, and 300hp is nothing to sneeze at, and the fuel economy is good too.

Almost forgot - don't forget to visit one of the site sponsor's and get it sprayed with Krown every year.

haha awesome just the advice i needed!
Im definitely getting a new car soon my current car is a beater that will prob worse for winter than a stang lol. and for the price of what you get theres nothing that can compare.

Im DEF going tp invest in snows and rims. I saved money aside for just that cause i used to have a MR2 and did not go cheap! problem was opposite with that car though no weight in the front so you couldnt turn lol.

My dad bought the 10' Fusion sport and was looking at one before I heard about the new stang specs. But I HATE the tranny! It shifts gears like my 02' Taurus. And no manual? forget it. plus horrible gas mileage.

I drove a v6 stang in the winter. Mind you it was a 99 with considerably less power. Very do-able. Those new v6's are badass though. Such a huge improvement! Check this out.
