and tell them you do not want to do dry burnouts anymore! If there is enough complaints there will be water in the pitts at all times!

I already sent them a email about doing dry burnouts, and burning up rearends!!

I may not use slicks YET but when I do I would like water!!!

I know lots of people are sick and tired of it

the track bite is a good idea, I would even pay a little more to run if the track prep was better. And what is with the pro guys running there cars half the night. Its STREET night not lets watch pro cars take all our track time night.

actually its called test and tune night ...and was originally set for the pros ...

thumb: actually it was originally friday night street night, and when they got rid of the friday and saturday races, they combined the street night and the pro test and tune into the same night. So in the end we get screwedthumb:
and we still get no track bite!

and without us street guys there would be no shannonville. The street guys are the ones who bring in the crowd. The stands on a sunday are always empty.

Dry burnouts, they can't afford water? I guess VHT is out of the question then. I guess it's better than street racing anyway. Never been there, so I am assuuming it's very low cost, and so forth?????

I agree with Nick, if they are gonna run the Pro cars they should do it a few hours earlier than the street cars. And I would pay a bit more for a better prepped track too, as soon as the Pro cars are done we get no more Track Bite.

What do they consider a pro cars?? A POS that has not exhaust, no back pressure, and gets on the trank and doesnt go any were???

It pisses me off you only can get a couple runs in and like Jody said theres no track bite!!! WTF?

Now how do they know that your car isnt pro?? Personally I think 11's are pretty fast!!!

Our staff are instructed to keep water in the water boxes, the track have to be clean and track compound is applied with the little er before the event and with handspray few times during the evening. I have yet to see compound be put on the track NEVER.

And the water LMAO I think they need to have another look on whats going on!!!!

Warren I would reply to that saying how they need to look into this and maybe do a check on things maybe every 15mins or so!

More bite would be nice! and water topped up.

i watched them spray the track 3 times last shannonville. but i agree with the water for sure

TRack bite really only applies to men that use slicks, street tires suck!

ha h aha, i know, TOm's Trans am is a prime example of a car that works well on street tires!

It would still help don't you think.
And not everyone is cheap and has to recieve free slicks im a person that buys my stuff not takes for free.

Nothing wrong with Free slicks. It doesn't hurt so bad to willingly burn them off

They can't be to poor for water. Burning tires costs money.

sometimes there is water, other time there is not. they dont keep on top of it.

exactly, its not that there isn't any water, its the lack of track prep. At the last track day last year, i spent almost an hour playing with the hose. was one of the unlucky dry burnout victims and burned my clutch, so i called it a night and used "the hose" lol

They should just have a hose , so then when its needed , people can just use the hose and do it their selfs.

The problem with it is cars that run with treaded tires. They drag the water up on the track. Alot of guys with radial tires think they need water to do a burn out. The radials just hold the water in the tread and drip it off in the launch area.

At our local track (Luskville) it is a lower budget type deal same as Shannonville, They prep one lane and only let cars with a drag type tire run in it. The other is lightly sprayed but nothing major for the radial tire cars. That is way it should be. This way nobody is wasting the prepped track on hondas that try and spin to the 330' mark. They just ruin the prepped surface for the cars with a good tire.

That sounds like a good idea , i didn't think of that.

GLUE,VHT,STICKUM!:tupANY TRACK THAT DOESN'T SPRAY IT SHOULD CLOSE THEIR DOORS.trying too hard to put all the money in their pockets instead of giving us a safe sticky track to race on.they spray a small amount just to say they did it.that is until the big boys show up once a year.all tracks on the regulars who keep them in buisness.stupid management is all that is,bad buisness.they talk about street racing(i am against it btw)and that people should go to a track but then give them nothing better than the street surface to race on.sometimes not as good as the street surface full of cracks and dips and a terrible shutdown area.i'm talking bad tracks in general here.ya gotta spend money to make it!

Race City fits into the "no prep" kind of track
