I know, I know.....

I'm trying to get it done as fast as I can, but I got the wifes car im working on as well. :banghead:

I still need to do the rear end in the Stang.
Should I just get 28 Spline axles, and run the stock carrier, or should I get the 33 Spline and get a new carrier and locker....
What are after market 29 splines good for...?

That is why its not done I need to upgrade the rearend before I make a fool out of myself with the stocker..

95srt 04-25-2008 07:20 PM

Wife's birthday on the sat, so I am doing other things :). So not this time but..........for all the black supercharged SN95's in town..............:tup http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0-oinyjsk0

QWKRN-U 04-25-2008 08:23 PM

I have Moser 31's and a LOC-RITE, Im not a huge fan of the locker. It works great at the track but it gets a little anoying on the street.
The stock posi will not hold up to sticky tires, even after a rebuild.
Im not sure if you can get anything other than a spool for 33 spline axles.
I have heard of peaple going mid 10's on after market 28's So the choice is yours, but you really cant go wrong with any aftermarke axle.

I went 11.8 leaving on a 125 shot with stock axles and ET Streets. I changed them to the 31's, and before I made a pass with them a stockish Mustang on normal radials broke an axle while I was 3 or 4 cars back in line, I though man am I glad I changed those. LOL

95srt 04-25-2008 08:54 PM

Keith I have a low k, 31 spline carrier with 3:73 gear for sale.................:tup

LX351 04-26-2008 09:41 AM

You don't need 33 spline axles. The aftermarket 28's are alot stronger than stock. That and put an extra clutch in the stock posi and it would work great.

I have a nice set of 28 spline mosers Brand new in the box. LOL

I will give you a screaming deal on them. $180 and they are yours!

Camo 04-26-2008 10:40 AM

What times did you guys get?

Post some videos if you can.

Dasilva said aftermarket 28's would be able to handle a 1.5 60ft with no worries.

Thanks Arron ill keep you in mind if I wanna stay with 28's but I really do think it will be a waist of time on my part lol.

QWKRN-U 04-27-2008 01:19 PM

You won't be 60in better than 1.5's at Shannonville, unless you have a full drag suspension with an anti-roll bar and a big slick. Even then you would be doing damn good to hit mid 1.4's

or you could convert to a jet engine! They don't require traction. and if you put wings on it, you could take air before you hit the corn field!

95srt 04-27-2008 06:53 PM

anyone have some times??

I left at 9:30 and none of the timing equipment was working yet because it was damp ....lol

QWKRN-U 04-28-2008 07:31 AM

I went 11.7 with a sweet 1.85 sixty foot. LOL

That jet engine sounds like a good idea, kill two birds with one stone, traction and getting stopped in time. "Honestly officer Im not a street racer, I NEED this jet engine for merging onto the 401" LOL
