I'm running 4:10s and a KenneBell and imo it's 410s all the way on the 4.6 2V

mine's a street car and the 4:10s transform the driveability of the car regardless of the blower

Actually,in the current issue of Muscle Mustangs, they installed 4.10's in their project '99 GT mustang that they originally had 3.73's put in a few issues back. They recommend nothing less for the 4.6.Here is the quote....

"The ideal gears for a Two-Valve Mustang, especially an automatic one, are 4.10s," proclaims Radovich.
They originally had 3.73's,and took the advice, and felt the need to up grade....just like i did!
See it to often.
4.10's in a 4.6 stang are not what most would think.

If you are pining on the 32 mpg highway you are getting then obviously MPG is more important than SNORT so stick with the 3:31 gear and be light on the throttle go to the coffee shop and chat with your buddies about how you get 32 MPG with her.

Or say to hell with the gas mileage (sure not why I bought my Mustang) fire in a set of 4:10's stomp on it and disturb the peace for a change.

How is 1st with the 4:10's?

Who gives a $hit what the RPM's and mileage is? If that is what you are looking for get a Ford Focus not a Mustang.

Thanks for your help
I was just looking for some info on gears before I make the change... not a smart ass answer like that...Why do some people always have to post comments like this when people are looking for help or advice

Obviously had to take some time to think of a witty comment for the second post, because the first one wasn't sarcastic enough!!!

I'm voting 4.10's as well from Ford Racing. I personally don't have them, but know some guys who do, and they're not seeing huge differences in mileage.
