Well spring is here and the 4.10's arrive tomorrow with a diff. brace and Predator!! Re-insured the car today and went for a spin finally. Now just trying to find someone to help with the install....

The corral has a company selling genuine ford gears for 145... I just ordered a set of 3.73s even tho I wanted 3.90s... Price is right tho

Seriously, went well and 4.10 was the way to go. Unfortunately I've been battling a driveline vibration at 120-130Km/h. Rebalanced driveshaft with new u-joints and got slightly better. Purchased a new Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft (which DID have to be cut and rebalanced for 2001 Cobra-would not fit my car, almost an inch out). Vibration was reduced a bit but not gone, wondering if I have to have the aluminum shaft rebalanced somewhere or the gear install was not quite right. I am open to ideas... |
What about the halfshafts?
And you didn't rebalance the driveshaft after shortenning it?I would've! |
A buddy with 4:10's has a driveline wobble as well hum
