unknown gears, what rpm are you running?

unknown gears, what rpm are you running?

in my 5.0 notch, i was told it has 3.73s. without popping off the cover, can you help me figure out what they are? at 100k im turning 1800-1900ish rpm. with a 275/40/17 tire. its a 5 speed car, ive only have chevs before with 373s and i was turning close to 3000rpm in my 4speed malibu so im curious. thanks.

with my 3:08's back in 90 at 60 I think it turned 1600ish. Oh welcome and hope someone can help

jack up the rearend, and turn your rear wheels once around, while keeping an eye on the driveshaft. count the revolutions........


I've currently got 3.73 and I run about 1900 rpms at 100klm/hr with a 26" tall tire.

its a good idea to use a grease penile and mark a line on the drive shaft so its easier to count the revolutions hope this helps
