Want to shorten the axle

Hi,

I have a 1968 Mustang Fastback. I want to shorten the axle by 1" on the left & right side. Anyone have any suggestions ? Can I use another axel from another Ford Model ? Someone suggested I get Mags that are Offset. Please give Links to any info that may help.

Thanx

Honestly, buying new rims with a different offset will by far be the easiest way to get the look your after ... custom fabrication of your axel or replacement of your axel all together may be just as costly and DEFINETLY more work then just buying a new set of rims. The other options (custom fabrication or replacement axel) are viable as well - parts are readily available and are made to order if you choose to go that route.
