My F150 has a 3" single in dual out muffler on it with 2.5" piping, the guy at the exhaust shop I got it done at created an adapter with piping to reduce the outlet to 2.5". You could try that but attaching a piece of 3" to the 3.5" and then attach a piece of 2.5" to the 3" piece to get it to 2.5".
