Just curious what the max shot it can handle at the track

5hp before it grenades. lol. I'm sure someone with a little more experience will pipe up.

 

stock 302 block can handle about 500 HP...this is well documented
some have survived over 600 HP...I know someone personally..some have "blowed up good"
well below these numbers...so what shot you wanna use?

I ask cause I was told a stock 5.0 could handle a ocasional 200 shot and a routiene 100 shot

A 200 shot as long as its a wet shot, dry not so good. 100hp shot on a stocker is plenty

 

Thanks for the info, I read your results with nos and was suprised how much faster 100 shot made your car. Did anything happen as a result of using the nos

 

I ran a stock 5.0 and I mean stock cept for mufflers and a k and n filter. I ran a 175 wet shot through it for years. Over 60 bottles of NOS bone stock with 430 gear ran 1167@117mph Would have gone faster but it was off the limiter on the motor only at 1000ft
