351w pollution / emission parts

for a carb'd 351w in my 93, i need any pollution parts to be compliant with drive clean red tape BS. i don't know exactly what i need, hopefully not much. i don't have anything right now, so if anyone knows what i need to get by, that would help. thanks

If you are running a older 351 you will have to bring it up to 93 specs, as they go by what ever is newer...motor or year of car...I have the same problem...70s 351 in a 86......Did they put your plates? Good luck.

I have a temporary plate, 302 is in it,runs awesome but can't get e test pass.302 is carbed, so I was hoping a 351 would put me in hot rod designation because a 351 wasn't offered in that year(93) maybe time to sell to someone with a fuel injected engine out of a rusty car.

the people in the drive clean really dont have the knowledge or the time to be hunting for the date code of the engine block when they do an e-test. The stupid part is as well that a 351, in a 2500lb car has to have lower emission, than the same engine in an F350 at 4500lbs.. as the emissions allowed also go by weight of the car..

That's the real kicker.all I want it for is a sunday driver for 4-5 months of the year.more emmisions come out of a car idling at a drive thru for 10 minutes thani'd have all year.

yes i so hear you there,, my Gm i have the EGR bypassed right now, till i have to do an e-test again,, the damm thing keeps melting the plastic intakes, and flooding the motor with coolent then it takes out the bottom end bearing from the engine being full of coolent, or it bends the rods from hydro locking..with no warning.. i'am now on my third motor in 3 years..
how bad is your car failing right now?

i haven't had it tested yet.i bought the car last fall, took it in and the guy didn't want to test it. he said it needed emissions parts on it. at the time i didn't know what the difference was, but after reading and posting on the site, i should have taken it elsewhere. should at least get a baseline reading. i've heard that you can get roadside tested, or checked for pollution parts by police? fines, towing$, etc.
