Ya, in 69 four of us real smart 17 year olds figured we should be livin in California, we hit quite a few dragstrips on the way, inhaled a lot of nitro & 3 of us came back after a few months, #4 married a gal from Texas & is still there, I'm gonna visit him the end of April & catch the Spring Nationals AND drive his GT-40!!! In 96 I loaded the GF of the day & my Lab pup into my 88 XXXX PU with a 8' slide in camper & cruised out to Vegas (her idea). The canyon pretty much looks the same except for all the fences & barriers that keep you from pissin over the edge like you could before. :lol If you live long enuf young fella, you'll prolly see a few coincidences too. thumb:

Did I tell you I drive a 69 VW ??:D

I have been several times.

A couple of my friends and I will be there this year too.

It is a great show. Lots and lots of vendors and usually some really rare and neat cars.

I'm defenately down for a drive to Carlisle. Always watched it on TV and always wanted to go. Just need to ask the wifey what she thinks and we might plunk the kids into the stang and drive down for the weekend. Would love to cruise down with a group, make things interesting.

I'll be headin' down again this year to both Carlisle and Woodward... 2 different venues, both are awesome though,

Carlisle for the drive..... Woodward for what rolls by ya.....

The humidity in Carlisle can be a real stinker though, but still awesome.

They're my 2 faves for the year........ :chacha:

Been to Carlisle about 5 times now, and about the same for Woodward....

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:51 PM.
