Calgary Mustang owners

A new owner just about to pick up my very first Mustang. I chose it over the Camaro as I have loved what Ford has done over the past few years. I own a F-150 as well.

I am just patiently waiting for my new Mustang GT to arrive at the dealership to pick it up. I was thinking to myself that I should pick up some Zaino products as that's what my brother used to use back when I was in Ottawa.

Here's where I get a little disappointed. I moved out here 6 years ago. I heard there was a bylaw where you couldn't even wash your car in the driveway. I thought it was a joke, but sure enough... I looked at it and it's true.

The City of Calgary - Water drainage bylaw - FAQ

How have you guys and girls been able to properly wash and wax your vehicle without the ability of using your own house?

The answer is probably right in front of me, but I am just to blind to see.

Thanks for the help!

Tyler

Hey Welcome to CMOC!
You said you're waiting for your new Mustang to arrive, is it a '14 or a '13, because there are tons of '14 Mustangs in the lots right now. Only asking because in your details it says your ride is a '13.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I guess I should've cleared that up. I ended up getting a '13 because I was able to get the manufacturer discounts. As well as a few more thousand off. I got a smokin' deal. It's brand new, but coming from SK. They were just waiting for the weather to clear up a little before they brought it here. I got it less than most used ones I see on the web.

Can't wait to get it!!

It's Sterling Grey. Originally I wanted black, but I was very limited on what was left out there in 2013s. The more I thought about it, Grey isn't so bad with the roads we have in Calgary, and the amount of dirt that seems to be on them.

6 Speed
GT Brembo package (front only)
NAV (which I didn't want because it's a POS, but because that's all they could find for me the almost discounted the whole price off the car).
Premier trim with colour accent package (didn't want this either but really had no choice)
GT Coupe accessort package

All in all. There were a few options I didn't get, and some I didn't want but for almost $10,000 off a 2014... I am definitely not complaining.

Absolutely worth the savings! And it sounds like a nice car. You'll love the Brembo package, I have it on my '12 and it's a very noticeable difference from the '10 I had with standard brakes. Be sure to post some pics, once you get it home. And congrats!

Welcome aboard, and congrats on your new toy!! Sucks about the by law!! Nothing worse then paying taxes, and being told what you can, and can't do in your own driveway!!!
