There are lots of options from tinting the lens to replacing the complete unit.

Here is the one I like the best for the 05+

Too cool..I do like the clear ones. You could tint those easily.

Thanks.

PS - they also sell vertical doors <RBG>

20gt00,

The painting is cool. What I don't understand is how the light gets through 3 or 4 coats of paint. I have seen on e-bay conplete blinker plastic like have linked.

I looked up the info for tghe NS safety inspections...

For the headlights:

" A few vehicle manufacturers are presently equipping some of their
vehicles with low beam headlamps of the Gaseous Discharge Light
Sources Design (GDLS). These headlamps emit a light with a
bluish hue which is in compliance with current Federal and
Provincial requirements. Tinted headlamp bulbs, blue, yellow and
rainbow versions available from some automotive parts stores
are not certified for use on public roads."

I am thinking that the really bright blue bulbs are legal.

For the ugly amber turnlights..

"front amber or white, rear amber or red)"

So, if you we going to paint, you have to leave a bit of amber showing..

Drats.

If anyone is interested in dloading the safety inpection doc, here is the link..

Service Nova Scotia - Registry of Motor Vehicles - Vehicles (Safety) Inspections

On the bright side, the NS gov is talking about doing away with this yearly inspection and doing the same thing as Ontario..if that is the case then a bit more varience could be achieved..

I am thinking painting mt blinkers my body colour with just a small strip of orange..

the light shines through the paint because the paint is "transparent", it says right on it, transparent black for the VHT nightshades. Testors sells the same "transparent" paint in different colours. I put like 6 or seven coats on my tails and when i turn the lights on you can barely tell anything is on the lenses.
