From all my reading polish does not build up/ wax on the other hand does. For my self satisfaction would be the reason for all the polishing and I swear after ever coat of polish it shines just a little bit better.:laughhard

 

One question....You have been doing all this waxing/polishing.....BUT have you ever waxed the underside of it yet? lol

 

I hear ya......and I've got a few more than 7 coats on mine too.....but it is more about self satisfaction versus what the naked eye can see

Stang Illusions - the "Man room" is inside the house ......the wife gave me one room.......and yes...I've polished the underside of my car......not every inch (cause I don't have a hoist)....but I get under there where I can fit/reach with as much frequency as the top side

 

Ya Tim I know...Is your car painted on the underside "Black" or is it the grey look still?

Between May - October, I usually wax the mustang about ten times which is probably more than enough. Yeah, meguairs!

 

factory underneath with the exception of a Glenn's Performance gloss black gastank cover and chrome straps.......so I'm generally trying to squeeze my big *** under the rear of the car to get it spotless for shows....polish all the exhaust etc.......with these lowered cars, nearly impossible to even get an arm under the front, let alone shimmying in past your chest

let's face it....unless you're putting the car on blocks at shows, the only thing a judge can really see is under the ***-end anyway.....and although I like her spotless, I'm still driving the thing....there's only so much you can do and still drive it

 

In my crippled state it took 2 1/2 hrs Tues night to pull off all 4 tires/rims to polish the inner lip of the chrome rims and armour-all the inside of the tires. Damn is the factory jack a piece of poop. Of course I armour-alled the inner fender while I was at it.

 

The factory jack is a piece of junk get a real one you probally spent atleast an hour jacking the car lol
