Rearend for 1982 L

Well I guess I will have to change the rear end on the 82 L. It currently has a little 6cyl so if I throw the 351W into it it will probably go first day out. Anyone have tips as to what would be the better rearend end to go with in this setup?
9inch or something else?
Thanks Jim

Unless you plan on putting a bunch of power in the car, and drag racing it regularly, an easy bolt-in would be an 8.8" out of an 86-93 5.0L Mustang.

There are lots of suspension and brake parts from the later Fox Mustangs that can be used to upgrade the earlier cars.

cheers

^ what he said. The 8.8 is a pretty stout rear and can be had for not a lot of money.

The 8.8 is fairly user friendly when it comes to repairing it also
