Name of engine

hey guys/gals, total rookie here. 2003 mustang Gt. What engine does it have? 4.6L sohc 2v? What is 302 , 305, coyote? What’s a 3v? Thanks

Yours is a 4.6l 2 valve. I believe single overhead cam.

2v = 2 valves per cylinder
3v = 3 valves per cylinder (2 intake 1 exhaust)

The displacement for 4.6 is 281 cubic inches
302 is a pushrod engine from the pre 1996 Mustang
Coyote is the 5.0l engine from the 2011-current Mustang
