Black is popular and looks great. Although I recently powdercoated a set of silver rims black and am already thinking of refinishing them orange.

Im the opposite and think anthracite looks best on a white car, just polish up the lip and it will look great

Even though this is an old thread I'll throw my 2 cents in. Myself, I like the gunmetal gray rims on my white Mustang.

Use that plasti dip and you can change the colour when you want to.
I like the grey/gunmetal look with a polished rim myself.

Paint code NHA32...it's a metallic matte black that can look grey under certain light conditions. I've used it in a couple of places on my car and it looks good.
