Solid lug nuts

One thing I'm not a fan of is the cheap white metal chrome caps that Ford puts on their lug nuts, I prefer solid lugs.

Problem with the new wheels is that you need to get the bulge style base. otherwise theres a gap around the lug.

CJ's has a set of Gorilla lugs, but like everything else that seems to be associated with my car, they're backordered/delayed availability.

Anyone else used these?

I haven't used those specific ones but I've used Gorilla Lugz in the past and had no issues.

What drives me nuts about these other sites is guys posting a part number, then someone else saying the seat on the lugs isn't big enough on the first ones, use these ones instead.

Those other forums are how I got sucked into ordering that Track Pack spoiler, and then my impatience did the rest. lol Yes, I'm still pissed about that.

This is the whole reason I generally only buy Ford Performance stuff, I know it will fit, and I don't have to worry about the cost and hassle of trying to mail something back to a retailer in the US, because it will be right the first time.

That being said, I'm probably going to take a chance with the Gorilla lugs from CJ's, if they're ever in stock.

You could try Summit Racing. I've never had anything shipped to Canada from them though, I normally get stuff shipped to near the border and pick it up.

Yeah forums can be a blessing and a curse when it comes to finding information. When it comes to wheel nuts, you want to be damn sure they're right.

I use these on my jeep wrangler aftermarket rims and I also notice that the base do seem a bit small for the hole, also hear from other jeepers that over torqing has pulled the base of the nut through the aluminium of the rim hole. If they gorilla nuts makes them specific to a factory rim then I would think it will be good, but after market rims might be diffrent. I also have purchased aftermarket style gorilla nuts and they are the same Finnish and quality as the gorilla brand. The aftermarket brand key even worked on the original gorilla brand but for much less $

I ended up buying that same set, but with four locking lugs, like for like swap with the OEM lugs, quite pleased with them actually, the base matched factory sizing 100%.

Even scored them on sale.....and CJ's shipped US Postal Service which was nice.

Wow nice. They'll do the job nicely. I too hate the oem Chrome capped sttle lug nuts. The ones on my f150 have swelled and split!!
