Yep that'll be part of it for my car, but I'll have to wait until I get the hood and spoiler I want before the stripes go on.

We'll see though....I won't commit to anything until I lay the cash out for it.

Kristina, this pic was posted on my dealer's website (stang they just sold). The blue stripes look awesome on the white. I saw this car when it just came onto the lot without the stripes. Part of me is wishing I'd gotten this one! If you're looking for a good shop to do stripes for you, just contact Eastgate Ford in Hamilton (www.eastgateford.com) and ask for their guy. He also did my car and he did a great job.

hey Sacha - thanks for the pic!! Awesome looking car

I'm still waiting for word on my car being scheduled...I'm trying not to think about other White GTs with blue stripes running around my area but ya, i know they'll exist.

i'm just hoping that the other bits i do to it will still make it unique

cheers!

if you want to distinguish yours from other white mustangs with blue stripes, go with windveil blue stripes instead of the sonic blue. i think it would look way better. if i can muster up the cash to get a GT500, white with windveil blue stripes is the colour combo i'm gonna go with.

Who did the job - shop, dealer, paint or vinyl?
I just checked with my dealer and the stripes are vinyl - is that good or bad? Any suggestions in terms of washing/shining?

vinyl is the norm - it's basically just stickers as opposed to actually painting and clearcoating the stripes. you can also clearcoat over vinyl so that they're not removable, but that's a lot of extra effort.

this way, if you ever get sick of them or sell the car, you can peel them off.

for vinyl, find a wax or polish that has UV protectants in it so they don't fade, like Zaino. i don't think carnuba waxes are the best as they may leave white on them...not sure though.

Thanks for the stripe-care info Kristina. A friend highly recommends Zaino too.

Dang, that striped-white looks mean.
