2012 GT Convertible question?

I am new to the Mustang world and loving it. I purchased the GT convertible and the dealer told me that when I open the door, I have to pull on the door handle, wait for the window to drop few inch and then open the door. To the life of me, I never remember to do it and when I don't, the window hit the roof slightly. In my mind, it doesn't seem right, I have to tell everyone that enter my car on the passenger side to do this. It is getting old very fast. Was the dealer wrong or the car is not setup properly?

My 2013 V6 window drops down pretty much at the same speed as it takes to open the door so very little of the window touches the cloth roof. I usually pull the handle and wait less then a second and then open the door.

Welcome aboard. I've never had an issue with the windows catching and I don't wait at all.

I took the Mustang into the shop. The salesman told me that they changed the convertible top this summer as the rear window exploded due to the sun. I guess they installed it wrong. Now I have more problems. I have an electrical problem, the morning I brougnt the car in, the electrical went nuts in the car, Check engine on, service wrench on, lef dial face (Speedometer) turned red, gaz gauge showed empty, speedometer showed 0 Km/hr. It was raining outside that day. The dealer took the car in in the hopes that it will re-occure while they have the laptop connected to it. They gave me a loaner (Ford Fiesta). Did I buy a lemon? I guess I will find out.

Have you checked to see if there is water on the passenger side floor ever?

Tanks Def67 and Chadstang, it will be my next move. I looked quickly if the carpet was wet but I didn't pull the carpet to see under. I will also inspect the fuse box to see if there is any rust. Since it was only a week old I wanted to get the dealer to have a look at it just in case they find something. The day I took it out of the garage I had to take it to the mechanic as the engine light came on. That was already a bad start.

I love how it rides. I am buying a hitch (I know it is blasphemy) but I do track days with my Ducati 1098 and I will go to the track with the car in the hopes that I can take it on the track early in the mornings. I will see what the car can do. But besides the minor problem I am happy with the car. It is fairly quiet inside with the top down, I was surprised. The power is amazing, it came with the ProCal from Ford and the K&N filter so, if I want to change something I will be able to tune it like my bikes. I will drive down to Florida this christmas so I will see how it is long run. I know why this car is so prized by the car people. I drove a Porsche this summer and the Mustang is right up there for me as I am 6 foot tall.

Hey, that's good to hear, it's what it's all about. Any pics of your ride or the Ducati to share? Don't have a bike myself, but Ducati makes some nice machines.
