So getting back to the exploding window and roof replacement. Did your friend tell you this AFTER you bought the car, or before ? Because if that was me dude, spending that kind of dough on a brand new ride, I'd be looking at another car all together, or asking for a new car to replace the one that had more work done on it before it was a month old than most do in several years. They should have disclosed the repair work prior to sale, and if they did, there should have been loud alarm bells sounding. Seriously.

My friend told me after I bought the car but try to prove that one. It is not as easy as you thing to get a new car to replace the one I bought, I have to prove that they are not working with me and it would cost me about $10000 to have the thing rectified through the court system. For now they are working with me and I will have them install my racing stripes, my light bar, my hitch to pull the race bike and also tint my windows. I will get something out of it.

Well, you know what ? If I had a friend that knew that kind of information about a vehicle I was going to buy and didn't say anything until after the sale ? Friends like that, who needs enemies ? Tough go , hope things work out in your favour, keep us posted and post pics when you finally get it back.

I got my car back Tuesday. All works as supposed to and no more electrical problem. They adjusted the roof and I even got a free synthetic oil change out of it. Now, I am getting the racing stripes installed, I already installed the light bar, the weather tech floor mat, the red sirius antenna cover, after Christmas I will also install a pair of Roush axle-back exhausts just for sound. The car runs great now. Thank for all the support you guys gave me and hopping to see any of you guys.

Glad to hear that you finally got everything fixed! Now you can enjoy your car. You will love the Rousch axelbacks. I sure do.

White stripes on red looks awesome. I will put up pics when they are done. I am also putting a plastic film over the entire front end so I don't get rock chips. More to come later.

Window Problems

In my mind, it doesn't seem right, I have to tell everyone that enter my car on the passenger side to do this. It is getting old very fast. Was the dealer wrong or the car is not setup properly?

Your window should not strike any part of the door frame no matter how quick you open the door. As soon as you move the handle to the first bit of resistance the window should drop before the latch releases to open the door. The reason the window drops is to prevent the glass from shattering on hot days. If you read into your owners manual there is a procedure for re-calibrating the window to drop properly because it sounds like the dealership didn't do it. You won't have to tell your passengers to be careful anymore although you will have to explain why it does drop when they ask "What the Hell was that?!" If you don't have a hard copy let me know as I have an electronic version I can send you.

Thanks totaljustice,

I already tried the re-calibrating of both windows. It looks to me like the roof they installed as replacement is too large. I told them to measure with another new stang and see if it is the right width. If it is too large they will have to order another one. They are still giving me a rental car so for now my mustang is not in the snow so it kind of suite me that way. I will let them find the problem and wait as long as it takes. Lucky this is happening in the winter time, I would be pissed if it was in the summer when I want to drive the top down...
