I don't know if I want the car back now, what will it be when the warranty is over? At least they are lending me a car. I think that I got a lemon...
Thanks for the update, sorry to hear the news, that's some pretty extensive work for a brand new ride, pretty disappointing. You need to take a Camaro for a test drive, stop by the dealer , park right in front of the dealership front window, and drop in to say you need info for the trade in value of a 2012 Mustang that actually works because you'll be going Camaro for your future sports car needs.

Thanks Apocalypse Poney, here is a Little update. Ford still has my car, they are testing each connection individually with a tester. They are also in communication with Ford engineers. They gave me a Ford Escape 2013 wile I am waiting for my car. I can't say that the dealer is not working with me as they are trying to fix the problem. What scares me is what will happen when the problem comes back once the warranty is over. Luckily I purchased a 100000kms extra warranty. I will update once I get more news. I inquired about the fact that the window hit the roof when I open the doors and they told me that it is normal and I have to wait a second for the window to drop down and then open the door. If this is true, it is plain stupid and a flaw in this model. It means that I will have to tell everyone that open my doors to wait until the window drop prior to open the door. That will get old very quick.

I don't know if the verts are different but on my coup the window drops fast enough I don't even have to think about it, I'm pretty sure they are wrong.

I agree with def67 that they are wrong about the window thing. I have exactly the same car as you do Bikingluc, a 2012 GT convertible and I just open the doors as I please. No waiting for the window to drop at all. In fact, I just went out to the garage to check it. Pull on the door handle and open the door. No waiting and no window hitting the roof door seal. When you close the door, the window is slightly down and will push up tight within a fraction of a second of the door closing.

I don't know if you have escalated this with Ford Service but if not, you should do so. Something is seriously fucked up. Maybe look into that CAMVAP thing?

I think that this is only an adjustment thing. The salesman (A friend) told me that when the car was in the lot last summer waiting to be sold, the rear window exploded (Due to the sun)and they had to change the entire roof. Hard to believe in canadian weather but that would explain why it needs adjustment. For now I don't want to make waves as they are working on the electrical proplem. I will see when they tell me that all the problems are fixed and I take possession of the car. Story to follow...

I'm not sure what could be adjusted unless they installed the new roof incorrectly but .....

As for the electrical problems, that is MUCH more serious and I would certainly be making some waves over this. How long has this been going on? At some point they either have to fix the problem and give you back your car or give you a refund or a new, working vehicle. Maybe talking to a lawyer is required.

Good luck and let us know how this plays out.

Well good news, I received a call today to come and pick-up my car from the dealer. Yes I thought, I will finally be able to install all the add-ons that I purchased. Well, it was like seeing a gorgeous women with D cups to finally find out that she had Kleenexes in her bra.... Man I was mad, they told me that they fixed the electrical problem but the windows are still hitting the roof. And the worst of if is that the mechanic tried to tell me it was normal. Well, there was 7 brand new mustangs in the show room so I told him that if any of the convertible he had on the floor was doing it, I would take the car and be on my way. I made him try all 7 of them just to prove my point. None of them were showing the problem I had on my car. Man I am mad.... I left with the loaner and didn't say anything. They may have to put new tires on the loaner of theirs. I will keep you updated. I am starting to miss my old 2011 Fusion...

That really sucks! Too bad you couldn't leave with one of the new cars off the showroom floor. What about the electrical problems? Did they actually fix that little issue?

As for the electrical problem they said that they found the problem, it was the main wire dongle that had one faulty wire. At this point, I would like to believe that they fixed the electrical problem. Now, I am waiting to get more news. On the good side, it gives me time to read all the documentation on the navigational system and the car electronics. Bummer.
