I would chase after the Roush myself as they are limited production cars

Gonna take a stage 3 Roush 2012 to hang with the Cherokee. I mean a stock GT at 412 HP is pretty slick still and the stage 3 Roush Premier Edition is even better at 540 hp and 465 tq. The TQ numbers are less than the SRT but SRT can thank that 6.4

I believe there is something to be said about buying newer, unmodified or atleast modified with warranty.

Chad, don't get so bent. If you can't hang with my opinion perhaps you would better serve your mod time over on another forum where the iron fist rules where when the sheep don't all 'baaa' the same way the mods get all angry kitty.

Props for that info. That is something I didn't know

And, I certainly gave ontopic mustang related feedback. So take a walk herbz. You have nothing to add but to gripe about my comments here. Perhaps you should contribute something a bit more than.....

How insightful.

Anyhow, 2008 427r Track Pack link

I didn't get "bent", I just don't understand why you would suggest a Jeep Cherokee to someone that came in asking our opinion on a Mustang. I don't plan on leaving here because of your opinions either.

It's backed by a 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty. What do you guys think of this? It has the Roush body kit (from what my friend told me), but none of the performance parts, just the body kit.

What do you think about these cars? What's good about them? What's bad. My understanding is it has 412hp, which isn't a big difference from the 435 of the 2008 I showed. What do you guys think? 2011 with warranty, or 2008 with performance parts?

The Roush is nice but I'd be all over the 2011

I called them. I'll be going to take a look at it tomorrow. From my understanding, its a demo car, so they're selling it really cheap!

My guess is that it's a lease buyback.

Because he asked for an opinion and my opinion on the matter was not to buy an older modified with no warranty mustang. And that if he's looking for speed and quality there are other alternatives to an older Roush such as the SRT8 line which makes tons of power in stock trim.

Hopefully you can now understand.

The Roush had a nicer look than the 2011 by miles. But, the 2011 gets warranty which is certainly worth something.

And if that is the case he needs to make sure there is a carfax / carproof. If he's buying it from a Ford dealer, even better but if its one of these small off lease scam dealers run away, especially from Queens Auto Group Inc.

I would take any newer Mustang over the Cherokee SRT8. They are just fugly in my opinion, they are fast off of the line, but from 60 mph and up not that great. I guess the AWD helps them off the line though.

I bought the car today. Personally I think the 2011 looks stunning, and way better than the Roush look of the 2008.

I went into the dealership, an authorized Ford dealership (usually not open on Saturdays, but the guy was there to help me out today since I called in yesterday), and drove this car for an hour or two to get a real feel for the thing. I fell in love, and was shaking with excitement after. Initially, with all the options, this car was about $55,000, and after taxes and whatnot would be $60,000. They were selling it for $37,000 plus taxes, and after much haggling, I brought the price down to $32,500 plus tax, which is $500 LESS than what the dealership got it for!

This car was a demo car, so other people test drove it, and the manager used it a few times as well. It has been taken care of, nothing repaired yet. It has about 10,000km on, and still has the 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty, and this thing is in mint condition.

Apparently, Ford is really conservative about the HP they advertise (412 HP on this stock model), and when they dyno tested it, it got closer to 460HP (I didn't see the paperwork, but I didn't really care much about that anyway). It does have a Roush body kit (spoiler, side skirts, side scoops, hood scoop, etc.), and a Roush air intake system.

Now I just gotta get my customized plates, inform the insurance company, and the car will be delivered on Monday, after they do a quality inspection, and clean/polish the car!

I'll post pics soon.
