No garage here Red Pony. I make sure I keep the car's cover cleared off every snowfall. Snow gets heavy when it warms up, plus mine is a convert. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm a little nutty, (okay, a lot nutty) but I have to keep "Betty Boop" happy. And no, I'm not really tempted. All that salt and sand. Lots of patience here, plus it would get stuck. But you gave me an idea, maybe make a garage out of "the 6 ft of snow".

Not a bad link here, which pretty much confirms what everybody here has already said...I know, I know it's too early to talk about this, but this morning we had frost on the ground!

I'm hanging in for 1 more week. Have to pick up the beater I just bought. Bought a bottle of stabil today for the gas and am going to give it a wash and wax before putting her in for the winter.

It's early, but my GT has been away since last Saturday. I knew i didn't have much time to drive it to begin with since i only had it out two or three times in September, plus October is usually wet, so i'd rather save the insurance money in my pocket then pay for another month like October "just in case i might get one more drive out of it" LOL!!

Yeah looking at the forecast for the next couple of weeks, I think I'll take the next opportunity to get my stang to Ford for a an oil change, and fill her with gas and a bit of Sta-bil. Hasn't been a great summer really, but I did manage to get odometer over the 8,000km mark. Of course that was with a few longer road trips. Kinda seems like I wasted a few of the nice days, but sometimes family and work take priority. Lookin' forward to spring already.

Myself managed to get,....... you ready for this,....... a tick over 1500 kilometers this season.....

I go through the same procedure every fall as follows;

1. Full tank of gas preferably Chevron Techron.
2. Change oil and filter.
3. Make sure tires have required air pressure (has tires will lose air pressure over winter months).
4. Place a few Bounce sheets on the floor behind the front seats.
5. Wash and wax then cover Mustang.

I don't take the battery out as I start the Mustang every 10 days. The weather in the Okanogan Valley in the winter is such (days without snow on the ground or pavement) that the roads are reasonable enough for short cruises without snow tires. Such as a cruise from West Kelowna to Penticton...1 hour round trip. The short drive keeps the fluids moving...it is essential to have brake fluid moving to the rear calipers in the winter or they can seize up, found this out in the winter of 2008 - 2009. A pair of rear calipers in 2009 was $349.00 Canadian plus tax. Ouch!

Well it's time! Yesterday was a great day, +15 and sunny, so I took her out for one last drive, and spent pretty much the whole afternoon just cruising around Lloyd., until my appointment at Ford at 5:00. I had them change the oil, check all fluids including antifreeze mixture, and overinflated the tires a touch. Then went over to the gas station and added some StaBil and filled her up. Then just before driving home I gave one last bath and then went for about a 10 minute cruise to work the fuel through the system, and parked her in the stable. Polish and Wax will start tonight along with adding some bounce sheets and desiccants in the car. These can be purchased and laid on the floor front/back. This prevents any mildew or moisture and keeps leather from deteriorating due to accumulated moisture. I sure hope it's a short winter!
