Ford's warranty and policy manual is pretty clear on aftermarket modifications. If certain modifications have been performed, the affected components will not be covered under warranty. Ford Racing and Roush have their own warranty on their parts that are dealer installed. The problem is that as a dealer claiming the warranty can be very time consuming and they normally don't pay the full shop rate. Most dealers will collect from the customer and have them claim through the aftermarket company. By law a vehicle manufacturer can not void or cancel warranty on a component unless they can prove that the modification directly caused the failure.
However as a signatory with SEMA, Ford is actually supposed to go through the aftermarket company and NOT bill the customer...the problem is that most people don't know this and Ford as well as the other big three members bully them...not trying to put them down..it's just the way it is.

i dont think i would want to even think about talking to my insurance company but strangely it is some how cheaper for me to insure this car then is was my last... my last car was a 2008 Pontiac g5 gt with only 173 hp. this has 412hp how is it cheaper. strange but in not complaining. but waiting until warranty finishes i may get is frustrated
