Still noting on with the Insurance.

They say it will take them 6-8 weeks to get the police report. On top of that they wont Freeze my payments. So they took another $425 for the month of March. I decided to try and cancel my insurance even tho it would be difficult and most costly to renew or go to a different company if/when i buy a new stang. But they refuse to let me cancel my insurance until a decision is made with my claim. This is BS!

I spent another 3 hours on the phone and I got it to the point where they still wont cancel, but they will reimburse me my payment for the day of my accident. TBH I was content with this but when I asked for it in writing, they told me that they would put it in my file but that they cant send me anything in writing. BS again. So I'm afraid that when the time comes they will deny it.

If anyone is wondering My insurance company is TD insurance. They used to be really good. They had good prices, amazing customer service, but I believe that changed a few years ago. Now I hear other horror stories about them. so once this is done either way, I am finished with TD Insurance.

How are you making your payments? If its pre-authorized just have your bank block the pre authorization and if your bank and insurance are one and the same close your accounts and go elsewhere. Your situation would drive me nuts and good luck!

Yea, I thought of this, but then I got worried that if I default on my Insurance then they will report it to my credit rating. And I'm trying really hard to rebuild my credit and maybe one day I'll be able to buy a 2011 mustang

As soon as the weather clears. I will take pics of the eye sore and post them.

If I get nothing from the Insurance then I'll either part it out or buy another and keep it for parts. It only had 112,000km on it. I was thinking of buying a cheap high km mustang and swap out the engine and transmission. but im not sure of the cost of that.

im starting to think insurance is the biggest scam in the world, they are there when you dont need them but as soon as you need them they are no where to be found or just dont want to help you.

Are you saying they are making you pay your monthly premium even though the car has been totalled?

That is not right!

Sorry to hear that bud...

Sometimes you have to go higher..when I had issues with the Public Insurance here in MB, I went to my MLA and had her talk to the minster in chage of MPI to sort out the problem..within a few hours the issue was sorted. I would see if there is an insurance ombudsman in ON and make a complaint with them.

Dang, whats the plan. Will you fix the car or will this be a part out (im like a vulture :p)

Glad everyone is ok cause really at the end of the day, it IS just a car and can be replaced. The question is, will it be replaced with a stang?

And pictures please!
